The Sicilian athlete just off the podium for the second day in a row. Due to a crash, Colnaghi couldn't sprint.
The Sicilian athlete finishes in fourth place for two consecutive days, confirming his excellent form at the beginning of this season. Alessandro Tonelli easily retains the yellow leader’s jersey.
Fiorelli’s statements: “Initially, we were supposed to sprint with Colnaghi, but plans changed due to that fall towards the end; we were unlucky. It was a complicated finish, full of twists and turns, Colnaghi was on my wheel and got cut off by a crash. I’m convinced that if he had managed to pass, he would have done better than me, but that’s how it went. Nonetheless, I’m satisfied with the placement; we’re always there competing and everyone is working at their best.”
