9TH DOMENICO POZZOVIVO IN THE SECOND STAGE OF THE COPPI AND BARTALI. MANUELE TAROZZI STILL IN THE BREAKAWAY. PELLIZZARI’S ATTACK IN THE FINALE.

Top 10 for Pozzovivo at the Coppi and Bartali. Giulio Pellizzari attacks in the finale, caught shortly before the final cobbled section by the peloton.

9th place for Domenico Pozzovivo in the second stage of the Coppi e Bartali. A thrilling and fiercely contested second fraction, where the team’s riders stood out from the start with the omnipresent Tarozzi, who, like yesterday, was part of the breakaway group of the day, securing one of the two KOMs of the day, consolidating his position as leader in the climbers’ classification. Tarozzi was the last of the group to be caught by the chasing group. In the final few hundred meters, Pellizzari tried to break away along with another rider but was caught by the group with less than two kilometers to go.

Good placement for Domenico Pozzovivo, who maintained a steady pace in the finale, securing a Top 10 finish in Sogliano al Rubicone, 9th place for the Lucanian, now 10th in the general classification, 17 seconds behind Diego Ulissi, the stage winner.
